FAQ Question: How to do rostering(Shift Assignment) in bulk for the employees?
Experience @ ZingHR : Zing HR enables the flexibility of mapping all employees to required shifts at given point of time.
If rostering (Shift Assignment) is not done for the employees, the employees attendance for that month will not be captured. Hence Rostering of employees is a mandatory steps which needs to be followed by the customer’s HR/Admin/processing teams.
You can execute following simple steps towards Roster(Shift) assignment for the employee:-
First go to “Time & Attendance Management” module option that you see on your screen after you have logged in as an Administrator ( Employees do not get this facility ). You now get to see this option “Roster Admin”. Click it (as shown below) to get this “Roster Admin” Screen.
Select the “From date” to “To Date” Range (For which period you need to do the rostering for an employee)
Select the appropriate shift which need to assign to the employees
Select the “Search criteria” as “Orglevel wise” and select the org level (For whom roster assignment needs to be done)
Select the “Normal format” (.Xls format) and Click on the green icon as mention below, to download the template (.xls format). This template will contain the details such as employee code, Dates, Shift ID.
Do the appropriate changes into the below sheet, such as changes from shift to weekly Off (Shift name should be same as mention in the system.)
(Note: Always do the “Text to column” activity. You can execute the steps towards doing this activity Select column--> Data Menu --> Text to column--> Field --> Column type: "Text" and click on Ok)
Steps 7: Save the same template in .xls format and click select Icon and click on the below icon to upload the same
Your processing will now be accurate; On the My Swipe Screen it will reflect as “Rostered”.
Note: The attendance cycle will process in evening, once its processed the swipes will be visible into the system.
