How is RPO / RTO time taken arrived?
As per ZingHR standard backup policy, the automated backups process starts daily at 9.30 pm and completes in approx. within 6-7hrs. for all customer instances. In case of any service disruption after the backup process is completed ZingHR performs the backup restorations from the online backup store. Hence the RPO is arrived at maximum 24 hrs. and recovery process time (RTO) will take 4 hrs. to restore back the services.

Does ZingHR have a BC and DR Plan?
A full EoD Auto backups are schedule to run on daily basis. ZingHR has defined RPO (Recovery Point objective) as 24 Hours and RTO (Recovery time objective) as 4 Hours. We have documented business continuity plan. Continuity of Business Strategy is a proposition that ensures the preparedness of the ZingHR in the event of a disaster. ZingHR is a customer-oriented organization with the philosophy of growing together with client and is sensitive to the impact that any such break down would have on its client’s business and commitments.

How often the BC/DR plan is tested?
ZingHR testing of DR is done twice a year, basis if the customer has opted of dedicated hosting. ZingHR provides DR Replication to Enterprise clients having dedicated VMs with additional cost.

How quickly will ZingHR be able to restore supply to Customers if the BC/DR is enacted.?
ZingHR primary and preferred data center is as Microsoft Azure Central India and Secondary data center DR site is at Microsoft Azure South India (Chennai). Azure Site recovery is used to replicate and recover services from DR site South India (Chennai) with Recovery point of objective as 15 minutes and Recovery time of objective which is 2 hours. The real time replication is set to 15 minutes.
ZingHR provides DR Replication to Enterprise clients having dedicated VMs with additional cost.

DR Testing/Backup recovery testing/Load testing is done as per policy. These reports are restricted as per company standard policy.

What is the Application Availability and performance?
All Customer data are hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud DC at Central India. The uptime by of the server from Microsoft is by the SLA of 99.95%. ZingHR also have multiple application servers under Load Blancer. Automated daily differential and Week Full data backups are stored on Microsoft Azure Cloud Storage at South India location.
